Cannabidiol (CBD) is a dietary supplement and comes from 2 main sources of the species Cannabis Sativa: hemp & marijuana plants. Marijuana plants are very high in THC and low in CBD, giving you that “high/stoned” feeling, and therefore restricted to only certain states where marijuana is legal. Unlike marijuana, hemp plants are high in CBD and low in THC (0.03%), therefore you won’t feel “high” when consuming it. It is also 50 state legal.
How does CBD oil work?
The body has an endocannabinoid system (ECS) that receives and translates signals it receives from cannabinoids in the body. The body produces some cannabinoids on its own, called endocannabinoids. The ECS helps regulate functions such as eating, sleeping, relaxation, inflammation responses, cognitive function, and overall homeostasis. CBD works by inhibiting the fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) enzyme, which increases the levels of endocannabinoids produced by the body. This process triggers the therapeutic effects CBD has to regulate our health. It balances our tissues, heart, digestive, endocrine, immune, nervous, and reproductive systems. Research shows CBD Oil to be a potential medicine to aid in multiple health issues.

Cannabigerol (CBG): CBG is known as the “stem cell” cannabinoid, from which other cannabinoids are made. CBG is converted into THC or CBD as the plant matures. CBG has been found to alleviate pain, neuropathy, decrease anxiety and muscle tension.
Cannabinol (CBN): CBN is a non-psychoactive cannaboid and has been shown to have analgesic properties. It also shows potential immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory activities.
Cannabichromene (CBC): CBC has been found to inhibit cancer cell growth, promote bone growth, reduce inflammation, improve GI issues, and relieve pain. Evidence has suggested that it may also have anti-viral and antifungal effects.
Terpenes: Terpenes work with cannabinoids to heal the body. It has been shown to decrease stress, improve gastric acid reflux, improve memory and mental alertness, has anti-inflammatory effects, and increases serotonin levels in the brain to help with depression, stress, and insomnia. It is also an antioxidant and has antibacterial properties.
What does CO2 extracted mean?
When it comes to high quality, using the CO2 extraction process is critical. The CO2 process refers to carbon dioxide that is in a fluid state and is held at its critical temperature and pressure. It is eco-friendly and is non-toxic. The CO2 process allows the oil from the plant to stay in its purest form with little damage to the compounds in CBD. The CO2 extraction process is the safest and most efficient method of CBD extraction.

Will CBD show up on a drug test?
There are different types of drug screenings that analyze the presence of illegal drugs or prescription medications. Urine drug screens were developed to specifically test for the presence of THC. Since CBD oil derived from hemp only contains trace amounts of THC (<0.03%), using hemp oil routinely should not cause a user to fail a drug test. However, in some cases it could produce a false positive result. Current studies show that a person would have to consume 1,000 mg-2,000 mg/day to be exposed to 3 mg of THC to possibly trigger a positive result on a drug screen. Please consult with your doctor and/or employer if there are any concerns before using CBD products.
